Servas can open the door for you to more than 15,000 homes worldwide—together with folk schools, houses of worship, ashrams, and other community institutions—in more than 135 countries on six continents. Servas International is the main coordinating body that links national Servas groups and contacts.
In each country, Servas is headed by a volunteer National Secretary supported by a national committee, which sets policies and procedures and maintains the country's host list. Since each country is autonomous, membership procedures and fees vary widely. The forms and information contained within this Web site are applicable only to United States residents. Servas International is the approving authority for all new international chapters. Hosts and Day Hosts live in every region of the United States.
For a list of member countries, please visit the Servas International website and click on "Member Countries". You will find the number of hosts in each country along with the year their host list was last updated. Countries that don't indicate the year their list was last updated are extremely out of date.
Important Note: When planning your trip please be aware of the date of the country host list. The older the list, the greater the difficulty you will have in arranging visits in these countries.
When selecting your Servas host lists you will need to know which countries are grouped by region in order to determine if a deposit of $25 for up to 5 lists is enough for you. To find out which host lists are single lists and which are consolidated into region host lists please consult the Host List by Region Chart
