Kayaking in Sausalito, Sunday February 17th, 9:45am-1pm
(No experience necessary)
Leader: David Schwartz and Sea Trek
Get on the water! Kayaking on the Bay It’s the absolute best way to get seal-eye views. We’ll see the architecturally fascinating houseboats of Sausalito, the skyline of San Francisco and, of course, harbor seals galore along with birds of many species and other wildlife.
An expert guide from Sea Trek, a long-established kayaking company on Richardson Bay, will lead us on our journey in double kayaks (provided). The basic skills necessary for an enjoyable experience will be taught. The maximum ratio of paddlers to guide is 8:1. Six people is the minimum for the trip to float. Sixteen is the maximum. Bring liquids and lunch.
We are trying to arrange a special visit to a houseboat after the tour. Stay tuned.
We are getting a special price from Sea Trek so that the cost of $75 will include a $25 donation to US Servas. ($75 is what Sea Trek ordinarily charges but for our group they are doing it for $50.)
