  • Eating and Dancing Around the World: Earlene Cruz about dance in Uganda and Whole Foods support of third world entrepreneurs
  • Street Sense representative — a DC newspaper written and sold by DC homeless
  • Annual Memberships meeting including financial report from the Treasurer and announcement of election results for Board of Directors
  • Election of Nominating Committee for 2018

Friday, July 21

3:20 in the Afternoon
  • Tour of the Capitol Building.

-Visitors enter the U. S. Capitol through the Capitol Visitor Center. The entrance is located beneath the east plaza of the Capitol.
-Arrive by 2:50 p. m. to complete screening. No food or drink allowed on tour.
-The tour of the historic Capitol includes a 45-minute guided walking tour as well as a 13-minute orientation film. Escalators and elevators are located near the public stairways, and wheelchairs are available upon request at the Visitor Center.

5 to 9pm
  • Opening reception and dinner, in the House of Representatives’ Gold Room of the Rayburn Building.
