        Featured Event

US Servas Events: In Their Footsteps - Presented by Sandra Beane Milton, November, 2021

This 50-minute presentation is a tale of time travel, of ten intertwining generations, more than 250 years into the past. It is a genealogical journey made possible by lore and ledgers, wisdom and perseverance, and flashes of serendipity. It reveals a tale of two families, one black, one white, one of slaves, and one of slave holders. The Norcum and Deusenbery family paths are inextricably intertwined. It is wisely and gently told by Sandra Beane Milton, great-great-great granddaughter of Jeremiah , property of Samuel Dusenbery and willed to his heirs in 1829. The presentation is followed by a 30-minute discussion.
