Airports The conference is being held at Frost Valley YMCA Camp, in the Catskill mountains of New York. The easiest way to get there is to fly into one of the regional airpots and rent a car, or ride-share (see below). The closest airport to the venue is Stewart International, about an hour and a half drive, but schedules are limited and fares tend to be higher. The same goes for Wilkes-Barre Scranton International, about two hours way. The best fares will be found at the NYC airports. The five major airports in the region are:

Car / Ride Sharing The conference registration form has a section for attendees who will be driving to the conference, and people who would like to hitch a ride with them. The question Driver or Rider is required on the form simply to make registrants consider this option... see form opposite. The conference team will periodically update the ride-share list as registrations progress. Attendees needing a ride should contact drivers to make arrangements. We suggest that riders share some of the cost, perhaps fuel or tolls, etc. NOTE: You must be logged in to access the Ride-Share List Public Transportation |
Port Authority Bus Terminal The only public transit that gets close (26 mi.) to the conference venue is the Coach USA bus from the NYC Port Authority Bus Terminal to Monticello, NY. The PABT is located at 42nd St. and 8th Avenue. The A, C, and E subway trains stop at the terminal. See below for directions from each NY airport to the Port Authority. IMPORTANT: We can arrange to pick you up in Monticello, but you must call when boarding the bus in NYC so we know to pick you up. The pick-up phone number is (718) 310-7217 |
Bus to Conference Region Coach USA runs six buses to Monticello daily and three on weekends (see schedule opposite). The 2:30 bus is a local and takes longer. Buses usually leave from gate 401 on the 4th floor, but the 2:30 bus leaves from gate 407. Check with people to make sure you are in the correct line. Seats are first come first serve. We strongly recommend you Buy Tickets Online before traveling. Cost is about $70 round trip, seniors $65. |
